Self care is so important! We all have such busy lives and spend a lot of time taking care of others. Taking time to do something for yourself each day not only nourishes your body but also your soul. You must take care of your mind and body to be the best at all other aspects of your life. Positive Vibes at Home

I am always looking for more ways to create peace and positive energy at home. It is Summer time and the kids are out of school so, most days we spend a lot of time together- at home. I have noticed that there are several things that I can do daily to keep a calm more laid back household. Aromatherapy and Essential Oils


I am a true believer in aromatherapy and using essential oils. They can be used for: relaxation, headaches, muscle aches, common colds, sleep enhancement, bug repellent and more.  I have diffusers throughout the house and I keep little roller bottles in my purse for when I am feeling anxious or tired. They are a great pick me up and I feel comfortable because they are all natural and made without synthetic ingredients. Keep on Reading!

Feeling Zen & Reducing Anxiety


Life can get hectic some times. Whether its a job, family, friends, and/or relationships, we are all jugging a lot of tasks. Sometimes I can feel my anxiety levels rising and I realize that I need to take a step back and asses the situation. There are a few things that I have learned over time that has helped to ease my anxiety and I thought I would share them with you. First, I want to reiterate that anxiety is not necessarily a bad thing when it is steered in a positive light. It helps in times of preparation (EX: Presentation).  It can even make me do the best that I can as I have high personal standards of myself, thanks to that bit of worrying. Anxiety used in the right ways is a great motivator! Don’t ever let anyone make you feel like your anxiety isn’t justified. We all feel anxious at some point in life and some of us are more in tuned to our body’s reactions to stress more then others.

Wildly Simple


Simple by definition is: 1. Free from Guilt 2. Free from Vanity 3. Free from Ostentation or Display (source). In my opinion, this is a beautiful word. I would like (and try) to live each day simply. Free of the guilt from not saying yes to every obligation, worrying that my kids aren’t eating enough vegetables, or that the news is going to play another sad story. Free from vanity and worrying about what other people think of me and asking myself: Do I measure up?  Free from envying others and materialized possessions. Keep on Reading!

Eco Friendly Make up


In trying to live a more natural, simple and conscious lifestyle, I have changed some of my make up routine to those that are “green”.  I had my favorite make up brands and consistently used the same items every day so, I made the changes gradually.  I also used the EWG website for research in choosing the best make up for me. I can’t tell how excited I am that it is almost sandal season!  I hate the feeling of having my feet contained in shoes and socks all winter long.  I don’t ever remember feeling this way growing up in Minnesota, but I guess after years of living in Florida and California, I got used to sandals every day!
