Self care is so important! We all have such busy lives and spend a lot of time taking care of others. Taking time to do something for yourself each day not only nourishes your body but also your soul. You must take care of your mind and body to be the best at all other aspects of your life. Yoga and Mindfulness for Kids

A couple weeks ago, I posted some yoga inspiration here on the blog.  Yoga has become very important to me and as my practice evolved that meant squeezing yoga in during the day while my daughter watched a show.  At first, she just loved that she got to watch a show, but as time went on, she was excited to try out some of the yoga poses.  It wasn’t long until she got her own mat and we were able to find yoga that was tailored to kids.   Continue reading “Yoga and Mindfulness for Kids”

Do you have a certain activity that always seems to put you back at peace or is your way of grounding yourself?  I know for some people, like my husband, running is their form of stress relief.  I completely understand why since you are able to zone out listening to music, going over your day, or just enjoying the sounds of the world around you.  Personally, I have tried running, but all I think about is “When will this be over?”  Obviously it is not the exercise for me!  For me, yoga is my perfect way to unwind.  I am by no means an expert yogi, but it is consistently the perfect way to relax and destress.   Continue reading “Yoga Inspiration”

Positive Vibes at Home

I am always looking for more ways to create peace and positive energy at home. It is Summer time and the kids are out of school so, most days we spend a lot of time together- at home. I have noticed that there are several things that I can do daily to keep a calm more laid back household. Don’t get me wrong- sometimes it still gets tense around here and we need a little more zen then others but, these changes help bring a sense of peace in our house. Kepp on Reading!

I can’t tell how excited I am that it is almost sandal season!  I hate the feeling of having my feet contained in shoes and socks all winter long.  I don’t ever remember feeling this way growing up in Minnesota, but I guess after years of living in Florida and California, I got used to sandals every day!

Now is the perfect time to pamper your feet, if you aren’t doing that already.  As the days get longer, it sometimes feels like we get busier and busier.  This soak is perfect for nightly TLC.  Keep on reading!

Self Care

Doesn’t life seem so busy at times that you feel like you can’t get ahead or that your days are flying by without getting all you wanted done?  Whether its a demanding job, house projects and chores that feel like they are never-ending, or taking care of others (your children, a sick family member) it can be easy to feel worn out and like there isn’t time for you.  When we aren’t able to personally recharge, it can reflect on everything else in our lives.  It is so important to nourish our whole bodies in order to give our best at whatever we are doing in life.
